This Privacy Notice describes the information J. L. Woode Management Company, LLC (“J. L. Woode”, we”, “our”, or “us”) collects about you, how we use this information, with whom we share it, and the choices you have in connection with this.

Through your use of our Website, J. L. Woode may collect personal information, which is information that identifies you or relates to you as an identifiable individual. J. L. Woode will collect personal information from your directly and automatically as you use our Website.

  1. Information We Collect Directly From You

When you engage with certain features of our Websites, we will collect personal information from you. This includes when you.

  • Contact us. When you contact us or send us any questions or inquires, we collect your name, email address, telephone number, and any other information you choose to include in your correspondence. We use this personal information to respond to your questions or inquiries, troubleshoot where necessary, communicate with you, and address any issues you may have.

 

  • Create an account for our resident portal. If you create an account for our resident portal, we will collect your name and email address. Once your account is created, we will also store the password affiliated with your account. We use this personal information to create and maintain your resident account with us and to communicate with you about your account.

 

  • Make a resident payment. You are permitted to make payments through our resident portal. To make a payment, we will collect your name, address, and your payment card information (card number, expiration date, and CVV) or your financial account information (bank account number and routing number). These payments are facilitated by are third-party payment processor Yardi. This personal information is used to process your payment and to communicate with you about your payment.

 

  • Submit a rental application. When you complete a rental application, we will collect your name, date of birth, Social Security number, government-issued identification number, telephone number, email address, physical address, employment information, educational history, vehicle information and license number, and criminal history. We may also collect personal information about other occupants or prospective occupants, such as roommates, spouses, or minor children, of the property you are applying for. The personal information we may collect from these other occupants will vary. We use this personal information to assess and manage your rental application, complete a credit, reference, and/or background check, and to communicate with you. We may collect additional information or update the provided information during the course of your tenancy as necessary.

 

  • Submit feedback. From time to time, we may solicit your feedback. In doing so, we will collect your name, email address, telephone number, and any additional information you choose to disclose in your feedback. We use this personal information to manage and assess your feedback and make improvements as necessary.

J. L. Woode may also use your information collected for the above purposes to defend our rights and the rights of others, to efficiently maintain our business, to comply with the law, and for other limited circumstances as described in HOW WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION.

  1. Information Collected Automatically.

In addition to the personal information you provide to us directly, we also use cookies and other tracking technologies to automatically collect certain information about you when you interact with the Websites. Within J. L. Woode. Where necessary, we may share your information within our corporate family, such as with subsidiaries, joint ventures, or affiliates, in order to efficiently carry out our business and to the extent permitted by law.

 

With service providers. We may share your information with our service providers that perform functions on our behalf to help us administer the Websites. These service providers include our payment processor, our IT support, our screening providers, and our website host and provider, RentCafe.

You can access your resident portal account to access, correct, or view certain personal information of yours in our possession and which is associated with your account. However, there may be circumstances where your personal information is not accessible, reviewable or able to be modified by you through your resident portal account, such as when you are late with a resident payment. Disable Cookies. To disable cookies in general and limit the collection and use of information through them, you can set your browser to refuse cookies or indicate when a cookie is being sent. When you opt-out, and opt-out cookie will be placed on your device. The opt-out cookie is browser and device specific and will only last until cookies are cleared from your browser or device.

 

Opt-out of marketing communications. You may opt-out of receiving marketing emails from us by clicking the “unsubscribe” link provided with each email. Please note that we will continue to send you emails necessary to the Website, your resident account, any assistance you request.

 

DO NOT TRACK DISCLOSURE
